Panorama selectively develops, produces and co-produces feature film projects. We mainly focus on international co-productions but also maintain an active interest in the domestic market.
Ute Leonhardt began her career in 1985 at Praxis Film Works, Los Angeles in Visual FX. Thereafter, she joined Propaganda Films as Head of Post Production, supervising projects such as Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, and Beverly Hills 90210. In 1991 she became Associate Producer of the series of short films for Michael Jackson’s Dangerous Album, working with directors including, John Landis, David Lynch and David Fincher. Ute worked as Associate Producer on Jane Campion’s The Portrait of a Lady before relocating to Rome in 1998. Here she joined forces with Marco Valerio Pugini, becoming co-owner and Vice President of Panorama Films. She has been the Italian line producer on numerous feature films, including Ryan Murhpy’s Eat Pray Love , Ron Howard’s Inferno, Garth Davis’ Mary Magdalene; her commercial clients include Lexus, Infiniti, Airbnb, Zegna and she has collaborated on numerous TV projects.
Marco Valerio Pugini is the CEO and Lead Producer of Panorama Films and has been active in the Italian film industry for over 30 years. He and Ute established Panorama together in 1997, by folding together two of his former companies. Marco Valerio started his freelance career as a Production Assistant in 1981 on The Monsignoris, then as Unit Manager on Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. He has worked on over 40 international feature films and TV projects as Executive and Co-Producer, including Ben Stiller’s Zoolander 2, Spike Lee’s Miracle at Sant’Anna and Chad Stahelski’s John Wick II. Marco Valerio was the Co-Executive Producer of the large scale HBO/BBC series Rome which won 7 Emmy Awards. He Produced Pontecorvo’s films Parada and Tempo Instabile con Probabili Schiarite. He is a member of the European Film Academy and teaches in several European Media Training Programs.
Fabiomassimo Dell’Orco started his career as a Production Assistant in 1985 for Cannon Films and Carolco. He then became a Location Manager and was involved in many foreign productions in the late 1980s and early 90s, such as John Frankenheimers’ Year of the Gun and Renny Harlin’s Cliffhanger. He headed the Tunisian location shooting for Anthony Minghella’s The English Patient and has worked on productions in Uruguay, Morocco and throughout the Italian territory. His experience working with foreign crews abroad has made him an expert problem solver, and very familiar with Anglo-American needs and expectations. Fabiomassimo joined the Panorama Team in 2000 and has since then Production Managed and Line Produced projects including Michael Hoffman’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the HBO/BBC Rome series, Ron Howard’s Angels and Demons, Ben stiller’s Zoolander 2 as well as several TV and commercial projects.
